ECF View

Find & View a File

The search function is designed to retrieve individual documents.
Do not use ECF View to answer statistical questions or do a massive search (using non-indexed keys) to locate a lost document that may have been indexed incorrectly. Statistical questions should be directed to the DHS CARES Problem Resolution Team. Be prepared to provide specifics and justification for the statistics.

Select a search from the predefined list in the left navigation pane.

Available searches will vary based on your security access level. Most users will have security access to the following searches and criteria:

 

Saved Search Use
ACCESS Tracking Number Retrieve all documents related to an ACCESS tracking number.
Case Recording Search Retrieve Genesys telephonic signature audio recordings related to a case number, telephonic signature ID, recording date range or user ID number.
Case Search Retrieve all documents related to a case number.
Individual Search Retrieve all documents related to an individual's PIN or SSN.
QC Retrieve all documents related to a batch based on batch name, document ID or index station ID.
RFA Recording Search Retrieve Genesys telephonic signature audio recordings related to a RFA number, telephonic signature ID, recording date range or user ID number.
RFA Search Retrieve all documents related to a RFA number.

Set Search Criteria

Enter the criteria for your search in the Search Criteria fields and click Search.

Available search criteria varies by the search selected. See the Search Criteria/Results Page for the full list of possible search criteria.

 

If more than 250 cases are retrieved in a search, the system requests that you further refine the search criteria.

Open Document from Results

Locate the document(s) in the Search Results area and open in one of the following ways:

  1. Double-click on the Document Icon or name.
  2. Select one or more documents from the list and click Actions > Open.

The file(s) will open in one of the following ways:

  1. Images: Open in Daeja ViewONE
  2. PDFs: Open in the PDF Viewer
  3. Recordings: Open in the computer's default audio player
  4. Other files: Open in the internet browser
    1. In most cases, the browser will attempt to download the document.
    2. You must confirm the download before the document will open.
