ECF Capture Plug-in

ECF Capture requires a single plug-in in order to connect to a scanner or import documents. The plug-in can be downloaded from the ECF page on the DHS website and installed by someone with computer admin rights such as your agency's IT support staff.

The first time you access the ECF Capture Scan page on a new computer, the following error message will appear:

The message reads:

The Kofax Web Capture Service is not available.

Please start the service if it's already installed or click here to install it. After installing or starting the service, please refresh the page.

Use the provided link or navigate to the ECF page on the DHS website to download the plug-in to your computer and have your agency's IT support staff install the plug-in from the downloaded file. This only needs to be done once on each computer used to access ECF Capture.
