The time period for processing an application for BadgerCare Plus is 30 days from the application filing date or from the date the local agency receives the application from the Federally Facilitated Marketplace . Advise the applicant of the specific verification required within the 30 day processing time. Give the applicant a minimum of ten calendar days to provide any necessary verification.
Eligibility should not be denied for failure to provide the required verification until the later of:
10th day after requesting verification, or
30th day after the application filing date.
If verification is requested more than ten days prior to the 30th day, the applicant must still be allowed 30 days from the application filing date to provide the required verification.
